A Transition Spool is created when colors are changed during filament production. This may result in a clean change from one color to another, an unusual blend of colors, or a color that just isn't quite the right hue. Transition spools may produce an interesting color variation in 3D prints as colors fade from one to another. These spools are also a great option if color isn't a concern, or if it will be painted over. All Transition spools are still 1kg and fit all specifications of a typical spool. We do not accept special requests regarding color preferences. All spools are chosen at random.

Made in the USA
Our filament is made in Delaware, USA. Our pellets are sourced from Nebraska. Our Colors are manufactured in Illinois. Our spools are manufactured in Indiana. Unlike other brands that just respool foreign-made filaments and call it American-made. We make a truly end to end filament in the USA.

Jessie is a constantly evolving extrusion line with new colors and materials planned. We also are working on better spooling, even tighter tolerances and adding in more and more quality control over the industry standards.

Not very thrilled
I was looking forward to trying the transition rolls as it didn't matter what color I was using for some of my projects. I'm really disappointed with the fact that it shatters and breaks when it is coming off of the roll.

The interior of the Spider, its “bones” were done in the transition spool. I had lots of issues with the model (not the filament) and I was happy as I had to reprint and modify that it was very affordable - AND since small children will touch it - its great that its American filament and therefore hopefully nothing unexpected is in it.

I am looking forward to using the 3 spools of transition I purchased shortly. Stunning colors. Looks great! Maybe I shouldn’t tell people how much I like it so there will be more for me :0)
United StatesGreat filament, but no more cardboard spools
I really like the Jessie filaments, but I will not buy any more until Printed Solid switches back to cardboard spools. The plastic spools don't even have recycling symbols, so they just end up in the trash. It's a huge disappointment because I love the filament otherwise.

I ordered 3 roles of the transition filament. Two had a kind of orange/black color. I assume that was the two colors it was transitioning between. The third was a solid orange color (so far). Two of the three rolls has worked well, but one seems to have had a bit of stringing compared to the other two. All in all a great filament for experiments and models where you don’t care what color the part is. I would buy it again.
